Epic Levels is a multi-hyphenate that started as a comedy fantasy rap outfit that has begun an mini-empire of podcasts, game accessories, apparel, and book publishing all under the same banner. Their latest release is Wizard of the Coasters, a set of four coasters designed in the traditional style of a TTRPG battle map. They protect your table as you drink things and you can put minitures on them while you slay things. They also have a bevy of nerd t-shirts & dice bags.
Their Mad Dungeon podcast has two formats. First, members of Epic Levels and a guest from the RPG community create a system-neutral, playable one-page adventure map using improv, comedy, and lifetimes wasted on roleplaying games. They then publish and release these adventures as a PDF through their Patreon and for free through DriveThruRPG.com. They also release Side Quest episodes where the hosts discuss games they’ve played and gaming news.
Epic Levels’ debut album, Armor Classy, meets at the inspired intersection of hip hop and Dungeons and Dragons. The group breathes life into eclectic topics like stealing the dank stank off of a dapper minotaur and a mad chef’s quest for the perfect leviathan calamari. The album skillfully maneuvers from funk grooves over boom bap beats to synth-laden party anthems. Members of Epic Levels have shared bills with Washed Out, Arrested Development, Belle and Sebastian, Amanda Palmer, Hospitality, Pile & Single Mothers.

The members of Epic Levels are obsessive gamers who spent their lives exploring the dark arts of nerdom. Dragon Warrior (he/him), aka Steve Albertson (SP’s, illiterates, SEX BBQ, Dr. Killbot) has been fronting bands for decades, always bringing his nerd empowerment lyrics front and center. He’s a filmmaker, host of Total Movie Recall podcast, and co-creator & writer of the Image Comics mini-series Ghost Spy.
Tiger Wizard (he/him), aka Andrew Bellury (Lille, Mortal Komband, Spacewalker) is a published artist, graphic designer, calligrapher and a major cog in the Atlanta art scene. He owns and operates Fallen Arrows, an RPG based T-shirt print shop. His design work can be seen in tv & films such as Stranger Things, Stargirl, Loki, Game Night and James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad.
DJ Robbie Darko (they/them), aka Rob Bellury (Lille, Little Horn, SEX BBQ) is Tiger Wizard’s sibling and the engineer/producer of “Dark Sunglasses.” As a bass player, they’re no stranger to being the backbone and guide to musical projects. After honing their skills with the mouse and keyboard by devastating competitive games like Counterstrike, World of Warcraft and League of Legends, they’ve translated that talent into creating beats and producing dope tracks.
As Epic Levels prepares to release their new set of singles, they continue to produce podcasts, illustrated maps and geek swag. Also on the horizon is the first of a series of illustrated RPG adventure books that combine traditional fantasy and hip hop culture.
