Changarro: This sacred temple is a simple, hole-in-the-wall restaurant has picnic tables, a table of condiments (salsas, peppers, crema, etc…), is covered by a tent with strings of lights and has an opening in the ceiling to fly out of. Dungeon denizen skateboarders sit at tables eating hunks that they cut off of the God Burrito. They know not to order a burrito.
An Aztec-style mural is actually the secret recipe codex. The sacred 7-layers are cleverly embedded within the image of a person riding an uber god burrito wurm over sand dunes. In front of the mural is a small shrine to the God Burrito with santeria candles, food offerings and some coins. A modron mariachi band plays ranchera, giving you musical clues if you’re on the right track or not.
The God Burrito: In the center is the proprietor, a 30-foot godhead burrito wurm with short arms, making burritos with his little hands, drooling salsa, and wearing a bloody crown of thorns. He’s taking orders on a raised dais, behind a circular counter with dozens of ingredients on it so it’s easy for him to reach.
The great burrito swap: Build the sacred 7-layer burrito and it becomes your sentient burrito steed and all curses are lifted. Choose a size before you order to determine the size of your sentient burrito steed familiar. Sizes: small (skateboard), medium (horse), large (sandworm). When a correct ingredient is used, its image illuminates on the mural. Build a burrito with the wrong ingredients and you become the cursed God Burrito. It opens up its outer tortilla, pulls you in, and spits out the previous proprietor, Trejo. Trejo will immediately order the sacred burrito and fly out of room on his new steed.
The sacred 7-layer ingredients: myconids (mushroom folk), vegepygmies (mold folk), shredded behir beef, salsa verde made with radioactive tomatillos, black pudding, beholder eyes, chalky cilantro stems.
Other ingredients: french fries, white rice, spanish rice, black beans, pinto beans, refried beans, grilled chicken, ground beef, carnitas, carne asada, lengua, pollo asado, chorizo, barbacoa, al pastor, sautéed onions and peppers, guacamole, cheese, lettuce, shredded cabbage, lime, pico de gallo.
